Business brief: New herbal apothecary opens in Taos

Posted

Eden and Keith Colibri started Illuminations Apothecary as a pop-up shop inside Taos Spice Merchants in July. The public is invited to attend a grand opening event Saturday, (Oct. 13) at 5:30 p.m.

Keith, who has worked at the spice shop for a year and formulates all the in-house blends, and Eden, who is a professional pastry chef, decided alternative medicine, native European and American folk practices and spiritual development was their life's calling.

On Oct. 1, the duo expanded and now share the spice shop's space fifty-fifty, offering Taos a curated selection of top quality bulk medicinal herbs, tinctures, medicine making supplies, tools for the kitchen, workshops on herbal and spiritual medicine, and their own organic body care products developed for high desert living.
