Albuquerque National Weather Service meteorologists are updating area weather conditions and are advising northern and central areas of the state can expect moderate to heavy snowfall and colder temperatures through tonight Tuesday, (Feb. 11).

In addition, meteorologists say periods of strong and gusty winds will create areas of blowing snow in central New Mexico focusing through the middle Rio Grande Valley from Santa Fe to Socorro. Residents and travelers through much of northern and central New Mexico can expect significant travel impacts through Tuesday night.
