The Bureau of Land Management in New Mexico announced Monday (June 8) it would be opening offices and restrooms after weeks of closure.
Offices will open under Center for Disease Control guidelines and each office will be monitored on a case by case basis to phase in the reopening. Offices and restrooms in the Farmington area will not open at this time.
BLM officials are encouraging the public to remain focused on social distancing practices and continue to follow “leave no trace” recreation activities.
Full office hours will will be phased in and may be limited in some areas. Contact your local BLM office for more information on their hours of operation during this phase in.
The department said it will continue to take steps to protect the public health during the COVID-19 pandemic.
