Angel Fire Ski Resort announced on Sunday (March 15) that it will be closing down for the ski season on Monday (March 16), “with the last chairlift closing at 4 p.m.”
The shuttering of the ski season came after worldwide concern over a novel coronavirus, the strain known as COVID-19, and its rapid spread across the globe.
“We appreciate everyone’s support in this decision both in our community and across the region,” John Kitts, CEO of Angel Fire said in a press release.
Angel Fire Resort in the press release said that, in the following hours, days and weeks, that they will announce other resort operations through social media and their website.
