Adonelia "Nella" Cordova

Adonelia "Nella" Cordova passed away on Saturday May 30, 2020. Nella was born in Arroyo Seco, NM the daughter of Jose and Eleanor Cordova on November 2, 1945. Taos is where she grew up and resided for 30 years. During this time she was unified in marriage in 1960 to Manuel Fresquez. Years after his passing in 1965, Nella moved to Albuquerque. Here, Nella spent the majority of her years being close to her children and grandchildren. Nella was a God fearing woman, she always trusted every moment of her life to God. She was the type of woman that made no plans outside of Gods will. She was known for the phrase "God willing". Nella was an avid bicyclist and was very much into daily fitness, enjoyed gardening, loved flowers and enjoyed the outdoors. Her ambition and dedication allowed her to continue her education at the age of 45 where she earned her associates degree. She was very family oriented and will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Michelle Marino; sisters, Antonia Marquez & Bersa Rendon. Nella is survived by her son, Manuel Fresquez; daughter, Loretta Brown (Charlie Baca); grandchildren, Christopher Brown, Charles Baca (Margaret Baca), Joseph Marino, Gabriel Marino, Shane Fresquez, Joshua Fresquez, Ian Fresquez. brother, Lucas Cordova (Gloria Cordova); sisters; Genobeva Medina (Manuel Medina), Ramona Maestas (Fred Maestas); 10 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. Due to the growing pandemic of COVID-19, the family wants to make sure all family and friends remain safe during these unprecedented times. To ensure the safety of everyone, more details to follow for a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Thank you for your prayers and condolences.
