Posted

Each year at the Rodeo de Taos, youth compete in barrel racing, pole bending and goat tying in the hope of being named All-Around Junior Cowgirl and Cowboy. After a tough competition over June 22-23 at the Taos County Sheriff's Posse Arena, the 2019 winners were Taylor Valdez from La Jara, Colorado, who won the title of All-Around Junior Cowgirl, and Ryan Salazar of Taos who was named the All-Around Junior Cowboy. The buckles were not delivered in time for the rodeo but the winners were each given a goodie bag from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory to enjoy until their buckles arrive.
