Skiing to raise breast cancer awareness at Taos Ski Valley
On Saturday (Feb. 15), Taos Ski Valley will host Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) and its event, "Shred the Love," to help raise awareness for those affected by the disease.
Money raised from the event will go to B4BC and Anita Salas Memorial Fund, a nonprofit that helps women with financial assistance.
The event will host K2 Bumps Challenge, a "marathon" down the slope of Al's Run. Athletes who participate in the race will have to have raised more than $100 by the time of the event.
There will also be a silent auction for custom "one-of-a-kind artwork created on snowboards, skateboard decks, helmets and more."
Toward the end of the event, there will be food and music as well as a raffle.
