Following a crushing loss at the hands of Española Valley, the Taos Tigers look to get it right Thursday night (April 15) at home against the Los Alamos Hilltoppers. The Hilltoppers sit at a demoralizing 0-5, while the Tigers are still in the hunt at 2-3. The THS girls will lean on their scoring to help put them over the top against a tough defensive Los Alamos team. The Tigers have outscored the Hilltoppers on the season 230-165.
ESPANOLA 84, TAOS 32
It was a tough night for the Tigers as they stunning a decisive loss to the Sundevils on their home court on Tuesday night. The Sundevils of Española Valley is the top-ranked team in the District and has scored an astonishing 378 points this season (Taos has 230). Despite the Tigers' tendency to get hot late in games, the Sundevil defense proved too much to overcome. The Tigers look to right the ship later in the week against the last place Los Alamos Hilltoppers.
TAOS 65, POJOAQUE 30
The Taos Tigers routed the visiting Pojoaque Valley Elkettes basketball team by a final score of 65-30 in their April 9 league game.
The Tigers were unstoppable as Seniors Sydnie Pino, Aaliyah Suazo and and Destiny Galen led the team of mostly Juniors to a final score that more than doubled their opponent's.
