A strong Taos High School football season came to an end at the 2022 Nusenda Credit Union State Football Championships on Saturday (Nov. 19), when the Bloomfield Bobcats put on a dominant performance to defeat the Tigers 45-13.

Facing a possible 25-0 deficit heading into half-time and with the added task of kicking off to Bloomfield to start the third quarter, the Tigers offense bore down and drove it into the end zone on a drive that started on their own 34-yard line. A bullet pass straight into the outstretched hands of Favian Cordova running an 11-yard straight slant route served as the exclamation point to the drive.
