Many Taos and Enchanted Circle restaurants, breweries and coffee shops are now open for sit down service in their patios and for takeout. Support local restaurants as much as you can in this difficult time. This list changes almost daily so call ahead to ensure a restaurant or eatery is still open. To the Taos Community: It is with sincere regret and a saddened heart that I am announcing the closure of the Taos Taekwondo Academy. Due to the legitimate concerns and fears related to the COVID-19 virus as well as the required closing of all nonessential businesses until at least May 1, I am at the point that it is no longer financially viable for me to keep the taekwondo school open. more
Kit Carson Internet has set up Wi-Fi hot spots for use by students during the school closure. The 14 sites provide free internet access at community centers, public parks and other locations throughout Taos County as well as in Angel Fire and Eagle Nest. Pickup sites and bus delivery routes have not changed since last week, except that three new drive-through pickup sites have been added: Gusdorf Housing at 750 Gusdorf Rd.; the trailer park behind Walmart at 205 Camino de la Merced; and LMNOC radio station at 827 Paseo del Pueblo Norte. more
Officials at Taos Ski Valley have decided to end the 2019-20 ski season at 5 p.m.  today (Sunday, March 15).  Taos Ski Valley officials  initially intended to end the season on March 22, however they have decided to take extra precautions and close a week earlier due to concerns over the coronavirus.  more
