Power outage affects south side of Taos

The Walmart on Paseo del Pueblo Sur in Taos experienced a series of power surges Friday morning (Nov. 22) that shut down its computer systems and prompted managers to temporarily close the store. Other businesses on the south end of Taos, including an Allsup's gas station, also experienced power outages, which may be related to a snowstorm that lasted into Thursday night (Nov. 22).

Peñasco makes strong run in Class 2A state tournament

The Peñasco Lady Panthers gave it their best shot. Four games spanning three days -- and with three separate 8 a.m. matches -- the Lady Panthers made it all the way until Championship Saturday of the Class 2A state volleyball tournament before falling to Mescalero Apache in five sets on Saturday morning (Nov. 16) in the quarterfinals.
