Contrary to a Tempo announcement of an end of October closing, the Taos Farmers Market is going strong on Saturdays in November – Nov. 7, Nov. 14 and Nov. 21, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The town of Taos used to launch its annual 4th of July Fireworks Display from Filemón Sanchez Park off Salazar Road. Then, it was moved to a site off the Salazar Road Extension about a mile south. Both locations were close to the Stray Hearts Animal Shelter off Salazar Road. In fact, the shelter is right between those sites.
