A man has been arrested after leading a Taos Police officer on a chase that ended with gunfire. 18-year-old Antonio Olivares of Albuquerque, was arrested Saturday (June 12) and charged with three felonies and several misdemeanors after stealing a vehicle and shooting at the officer.

Taos Police were dispatched to the Hampton Inn in Taos at noon Friday (March 19) in response to a domestic disturbance incident, according to John Wentz, chief of the Taos Police Department.

According to Wentz, a man showed up at the hotel looking for his estranged girlfriend, who worked at the hotel located at 1515 Paseo del Pueblo Sur.
