Snow Alert: Nov. 24

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a winter weather advisory for the northern Sangre De Cristo Mountains throughout Tuesday evening (Nov. 24).

The storm front will continue moving across the New Mexico-Colorado border, with high levels of snow expected for some areas. Snow is also expected in the Tusas Mountains as well as Chama.

Expect additional snow accumulations of one to four inches above 7,500 feet.

The National Weather Service is urging drivers to be cautious as roadways could become icy or slippery.

Check nmroads.com for conditions and closures. 

Conditions will clear Wednesday and Thanksgiving Thursday with a 40-50 chance of more snow on Friday.
