The town of Taos reported that a water main was hit during the early morning hours of Tuesday (Oct. 12) by a construction crew working in the area, according to a press release from the town.

The area affected runs from Siler Road north to Camino de la Placita on Paseo del Pueblo Sur, and west on Camino de la Placita to Ranchitos Road.

Crews are working to repair the water line and service is expected to be restored 12 p.m. today. Vehicle traffic in the area will be diverted, but delivery trucks making deliveries to businesses in the area will be allowed through.
