Oralia Susana Ortega Martinez

Our beloved mother, our nana, Oralia Susana Ortega Martinez passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 6, 2021 at 830 p.m. She was born to Abran and Maria Petra Ortega on August 11, 1932.  She is survived by her daughter Marilyn Tafoya, son Ricardo (Rick) Martinez, and daughter Myra Telleria. She joins God in heaven, with our brother Floyd J. Martinez, our father Lucio E. Martinez, and son-in-law Lawrence Tafoya. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Melanee Monsen (Randy Monsen), Dylan Bushnell (Terah Bushnell), Rikki Harris (Nick Griego), Marissa Paulich (Bridger Paulich), Marcus Martinez (Floyd and Teresa Martinez), Erin Leigh King (Ryan King), Alex S. Cosentino (Blanca Rodriguez Cosentino) and Antonio Telleria (Myra and Ivan Telleria).  She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren. They all called her 'Grandma Ri', or 'nana'.  Her grandchildren were the light and love in her heart.  She loved each and every one and they were all special to her.  She lived to see them, talk with them and hear about them, and her eyes would light up every time she spoke of them. She was also the last of 6 siblings, Manuel, Connie, Rose, Ernest, Pat, and Dianna.  We know that she is now at peace and so happy to join her brothers and sisters, and celebrate the strongest bond that any siblings can have, they shared that bond all their lives. All that knew our nana, loved her.  She loved to play bingo, cards, go on road trips, camp, crochet, cook, and enjoy a good cup of coffee.  If you ever had the privilege of tasting her delicious green chili, or chile verde, then you are a happy, happy soul right now!  Her sense of humor kept you laughing, and at the most unexpected times. The love that she gave, came back to her every day of her blessed life, and we will cherish her memory forever.  Until we meet again nana, rest in peace and fly with the Angels.  Always remember 'Best Friends Forever'. A celebration of her life will be held at the Stansbury Farm Events in Stansbury Park Utah on November 21st from 12n-2p, for close friends and family.  A similar gathering will be held in Questa, New Mexico at a later date. Arrangements in care of Dalton-Hoopes Funeral Home & Cremation Center 435-884-3031.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at Dalton-Hoopes.com.
