Matt Kopet,

Matt Kopet,

Matt is in heaven now, surely wandering around looking for new friends, just like always. Many Taos people looked after Matt or loved Matt, are in our family story, so that we won’t forget all of the kindness you gave to our star. Matts Family

Myself, my husband and son all got the wonderful priveledge to not only work with him but became friends. There was never a day he wasn't smiling. He is the most thoughtful person I know. He would do anything for anyone. We loved him and we're honored to have him as a friend. He has touched so many people. This loss is great. Our prayers and condolences go out to his family. I can't imagine the loss they are feeling. Matt will always be in our hearts.

Oh my sweet, flirty, flea market friend! An angel on earth, you were always so cheerful and friendly, offering help all the time, and, of course, loving. I still have the sacred cross you gifted me. Rest in peace Matt, may your memory be a blessing.

I met Matt for the first time several years ago while visiting My daughter and her family in Taos. We met in the Plaza and Matt was instantly a friend! God blessed Matt with a friendliness that welcomed everyone. He was a delight to talk with! Matt also had an adorable style in dressing that matched his beautiful heart. He was a gift for sure!!

Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not. It broke our hearts to lose you so soon. You had such an important part in our lives. You left so many memories, your smile, your laugh, your special goofy ways. You have always brought a warm feeling to our hearts that will never go away.

I’ll always remember that special smile yet my heart is broken and I struggle with the heartache that came when we lost you. Now all I have are memories and a picture of you, Your memory is a keepsake with which I’ll never part. Farewell my friend you will always be in my heart. Love Jodie and Family
