James Edward Paulsen

James Edward Paulsen died at the age of 78 on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 surrounded by his closest friends.  After the loss of his beloved wife Susan, and the complete “defeat over cancer”, Jim finally said “Goodbye”. He is survived by his older sister JoAnn Paulsen of Youngtown, AZ; and his only child Ariana Dominque Paulsen, of Paris, France; and his friends he called “his family”. Jim lived an incredible life from being recruited by the United States Navy to become a Nuclear Engineer on a sub in the 50’s, to starting a company (IAC) that developed the code “multilingual” allowing the internet to operate worldwide. Jim’s love of music gave him many memories working with several bands throughout his lifetime.  Jim and Susan retired and moved to Taos 18 years ago, making Taos their home and their final resting place. A Memorial Service will be held on February 25, 2023 from 3pm to 4pm in the Evergreen Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home in Taos. The family of James Edward Paulsen has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos.  866-657-4019
