Ernestina “Tina” Pacheco

A resident of El Salto, Arroyo Seco, New Mexico went to her heavenly home on May 10, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband Elizardo Pacheco; her parents Toribio and Celina Martinez; brothers Frank, Juan, Epifanio, Crisoforo, Eloy, Nicolas, Ruben and Ernesto Martinez; sister Rosaura Chacon; sisters-in-law Angelina, Teresa, Elivira, Lucinda, Rose, Rosella; and brother-in-law Ben Chacon; son-in-law Bernie Montoya, daughter-in-law Connie Pacheco; grandson Charlie Pacheco; and great-granddaughter Savannah Gutierrez. Tina is survived by her children Carlos Pacheco, Celina Montoya, Rudy Pacheco (Theresa) and Eileen Pacheco; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; brothers Gilbert (Priscilla) and Elias (Corina) Martinez; sisters-in-law Beatrice Martinez and Cecelia Martinez; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends; Special nephew Felix (Medo) Gonzales. Tina worked as a waitress in different restaurants in Taos and was exceptionally good in her profession.  She was an excellent cook and to this day, many have her recipes to cherish, she was also the best tortilla maker.  Tina was a woman of great love for all her family.  She had a special song for all her grandbabies and was lovingly known as Grandma Tita.  Tina was a woman of great faith, knew her bible well and memorized many scriptures.  She will be truly missed by all who knew her. The Pacheco family thanks Red Willow Hospice Services and all who cared for our beloved mother at Taos Health Care. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday May 31, 2023 at 9:30am at the Taos Foursquare Church, with burial to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
