June 20, 1935 to July 24, 2021,

Age 86 beloved father, brother, uncle, friend and neighbor, passed away peacefully at his home in Taos Canyon on July 24, 2021. Dennis is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Tequila J. Brooks and Eugene Brown of Alexandria, Va.; sisters Nancy E. Brooks of Brattleboro, Vt. and Margaret Bills of Townshend, Vt.; sister-in-law Patricia Brooks of Brattleboro, Vt.; former wife Lee B. Harley of Los Lunas, NM; nephews Thad Brooks of Pittsfield, Mass., Stephen Brooks of Ripton, Vt., Nick Shine of Townshend, Vt., and Travis Shine of Newfane, Vt; nieces Kelly Darwell of Bennington, Vt., Tracy Kerylow of Brattleboro, Vt., and Vicki Brooks of Wichita Falls, Tx.; and many friends and neighbors in Taos. Dennis is pre-deceased by his parents, Roy I. Brooks and Margaret H. Brooks, and brothers Stephen, Bruce, Mortimer, and Michael. Memorial Information: Dennis was an avid reader and lover of books.
