Anthony “Ant” Maestas

Age 26, a resident of Taos, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 14, 2021. He was preceded in death by his uncle Francis Maestas; great-grandparents Onofre and Salome Palajo; Patricio and Genoveva Maestas; Jose and Carmen Ochoa. Anthony was a very outgoing man with a huge heart of gold.  He loved to be around people and always had a smile on his face.  He was also a loyal Raiders and Lakers fan. He is survived by his parents Paul Maestas and Gomie Padilla (Charles); siblings Paul Maestas Jr. (Carmen), Carley Maestas and Arianna Gonzalez; nephew Jayden Maestas; grandparents Joe Maestas, Martha Mondragon, Hortensia Slate and Andrew Ayala; aunts and uncles Andrea Gallegos (Carlos), Diana Ayala and Barbara Miera (Raymond); special cousins Jacobo Miera, R.J. Miera, Jacob Ayala, Noah Miera, plus many other loving cousins, relatives, and friends. Rosary will be recited on Saturday April 24, 2021 at 9am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Dolores Cemetery in El Prado.  The family of Anthony “Ant” Maestas has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos.  866-657-4019
