Age 92 of Valdez NM, died September 3, 2021. He was born October 10, 1928 in Scioto County, Ohio; to David D. and Leona (Wagner) Sullivan.  Henry graduated from Valley High School (Lucasville Oh) in 1946. He was inducted and served in the US Army during the Korean War.  Henry married Sandra (Campbell) Sullivan, January 21, 1961.  They had two sons; Craig D. Sullivan, and Dirk C. Sullivan.

Age 71, of Talpa passed away peacefully at home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on September 10, 2021.   She was a strong woman battling cancer for many years.  She is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Martinez, three brothers, grandparents and great grandson, Josiah.

Age 84 passed away September 3rd, 2021.  He was born in Taos, New Mexico on March 25, 1937. He was preceded in death by his loving and beautiful wife Dilia.  His parents Donaciano and Soledad Graham, his in-laws Eduardo and Solidea Mondragon.  Brother Tobias Graham and sister Sally Graham.  Brothers and Sisters-in-law:  Carla Graham, Molly and Salvador Archuleta, Antonio and Tomasita Mondragon, Ida Mondragon, Geneva Mondragon, Margarito Mondragon, Aurelio “Joe” Montoya and Juan Gonzales. Godson: Rick Gonzales.

Age 38, of Penasco, New Mexico, was unexpectedly taken from us to be with our Lord on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.  Gregorio was born on August 22, 1983 and was raised and continued to reside in Penasco up until his death.  He attended the Penasco Independent Schools and graduated from Penasco High School in May of 2002.

Passed away Saturday, September 4 at age 88 in Little Rock. He was the oldest of three sons of John Graham Sudbury and Avis Sudbury born February 13, 1933 and raised in Blytheville Arkansas. After graduation from Blytheville High School, Graham became a lifelong Razorback with a degree in journalism from the University of Arkansas in 1955. His work on the student newspaper, the Traveler, and the college press club ignited his admiration for the written word that would influence his career and life.

The Taos County Sheriff’s Office has found the body of missing Peñasco resident Uvaldo V. Lopez. Jr, who had been missing since Aug. 22 after his truck was located in the Llano San Juan Mountain Range.

Age 66, a resident of Taos, passed away unexpectedly on August 31, 2021. Annie was a loving, caring, woman, who loved her family dearly.  She was employed by Taos Ski Valley for over 32 years.  She will be missed by everyone whose heart she touched. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth McCallum;

At the age of 101, Virgil Martinez of Questa, NM, went to be with the Lord, August 28, 2021. Virgil was a kindhearted Christian man, devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. The Celebration of Life service will be held at the Living Word Ministries, 12 Llano Rd., Questa, NM, September 16, at 6PM. The viewing will be at 5:30PM.

Long time Questa resident, Dolores "Dee" Garcia, 76, passed away on August 25th, 2021. Dolores was born on August 31, 1944 to Alfredo and Maria Socorrito Duran in Questa, NM. She was always so hard working, from the many jobs she held, to the volunteer positions she filled for the church, she was always happy to be involved in projects. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. With a quick wit and a fiery personality, she is a wonderful force of nature that will be missed dearly, by her family and the community.

Age 71, of Taos passed away at home on August 29, 2021.  She was born in 1949 in Arroyo Seco.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Melquiades Cordova and Juana Neopomocena “Shena” Martinez, in laws, Lester and Angie Black, siblings, Acorcinio “Corky” Cordova, Filadelphio “Phil” Cordova (Rosemary), Creselda, Bertina Fernandez (Arsenio), Joseph Cordova, in laws, Barbara Sprietler and Isaac Rael.

Passed away unexpected at the age of 18 years old on August 19th, 2021 in Taos, New Mexico. Nico was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew and friend. Nico was joyful, generous, creative, and kind. His loss will forever change so many lives. Nico was born June 16, 2003 in Taos, New Mexico to Shara Martinez and Jon Trujillo. He grew up in Taos and attended Vista Grande High School. Nico had a generous and creative spirit. He was a talented artist and excelled at piano.

Will be buried at the New Mexico State Veterans Cemetery in Angel Fire on September 3.  He was born on October 26, 1926 in Donie, Freestone County, Texas and passed away peacefully on July 22, 2017 in Conroe, Montgomery County, Texas. He is survived by his daughter Patricia Evans Keenan (John) of El Prado, two granddaughters Christy Keenan Remucal (Jon) of Madison, Wisconsin and Carrie Keenan Brown (Jacob) of San Francisco, California and three great grandchildren Sophie and Evan Remucal and Milo Brown.

The first child of Jerrell and Dorothy Davis, was born in Freer, Texas, on October 23, 1949. He grew up working on his family’s farms and ranches, where he acquired a strong work ethic and curiosity-driven motivation that inspired him throughout his life. He moved to the Vail Valley in 1975, where in partnership with his brother Darrell he started the first cable television company in the area.

Age 86, a resident of Llano Quemado, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents Fidel E. & Beatrice Medina; siblings Aurora Fernandez, Elsie Maez, Benito Medina, Frank Medina, Juanita Gonzales; in-laws Abenicio & Emilia Romero and special nephew Michael Medina. Fidel proudly served and retired from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years.

Of Cerro, New Mexico died in his sleep of natural causes on August 8, 2021. He was born February 14, 1943 in Longview, Texas. Larry did some living in his 78 years. At an early age, he started drumming on everything around him, keeping time to the music in his head.

She was born to Harry and Jeanette Monroe on March 3rd, 1942 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. After graduating from high school, she joined the Army and traveled throughout the U.S. and Europe.

Of Ft. Lauderdale Florida and formerly of Taos, lost her courageous 4 month battle with a glioblastoma on July 9th, 2021.  She was born in south Florida on February 8th,1954.  The eldest of three daughters, she learned to ride horses at an early age, and continued to ride throughout her adult life. Gail graduated from Florida International University earning a BSN in Nursing.

Age 68, from Costilla, New Mexico passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021. He was born in 1953 to Toney and Marinita Cordova. He was raised by his grandparents Lino and Leaonarda Trujillo. After graduating Questa High School he attended the University of New Mexico, where he got a Master’s Degree. Bobby was a well-known and loved educator and counselor at Questa High School.

Was born in Questa, New Mexico. He was the 2nd oldest child of Soraida and Feliciano Rael. His father sent him to McCurdy private school in Santa Cruz de la Canada, New Mexico. There, Principal McCracken entrusted him with the care of farm animals big and small. He attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. He later attended the University of Oklahoma to get his Masters in Geography.
