Neal King, the mayor of the Village of Taos Ski Valley, has died. He was 80.

King is the second ski valley luminary to pass away recently, after Bernard "Dadou" Mayer, who died last week, on Aug. 16. King died around 3 a.m. Monday morning (Aug. 22), according to his wife, Kathy Bennett, who noted that he was just two weeks shy of his 81st birthday.
