Timeless romance, celebration and memorial
There’s a reason why flowers are considered the language of love: There’s no better way to celebrate life’s happiest moments than with a lush, fragrant bouquet of a loved one’s favorite blossoms and, for 28 years, Enchanted Florist has been there for all of your occasions.
With another Valentine’s Day around the corner, Marjorie and Robert Perry, their daughter, Carly Reyes, and employees Polly Long, Harvest Taniguchi and Katie Bruozis are ready to help you show those you love how much you care.
Known as the flowers of love and passion, roses are synonymous with Valentine’s Day and your options at Enchanted Florist range from a simple and sweet bud vase to a sublime arrangement of one hundred exquisite blooms, and everything in between.
“Our roses are the Rolls-Royce of roses,” said Marge Perry. “They last longer, are larger, open more beautifully and some varieties can last up to ten days.”
“But if your loved one isn’t a fan of roses we regularly carry an extensive variety of flowers,” which, Perry noted, are shipped weekly from worldwide specialty providers including California, the Netherlands and Colombia. “We always offer wrapped bouquets, pre-made arrangements, house plants and right now we’ve started our seasonal tulip special.”
Make any floral arrangement more special by adding a gift from their selections such as balloons, fine chocolates, crystals, spiritual keepsakes, plush animals, mugs, garden accessories and home decor items. For Valentine’s Day they will also offer macarons and chocolate covered strawberries from Taos Cakes.
Enchanted Florist has made every effort to ensure your shopping experience is safe and convenient. The shop – open for extended hours on Valentine’s Day weekend, including Sunday, Feb. 14 – is in compliance with state and local COVID protocols to protect clients and staff. Shopping on their website is always an option, as is just making a phone call to Carly for help in creating a special design. Contactless delivery is available throughout Taos County.
Perry has been working her floral magic for four decades, beginning in western Kansas where she grew up.
“My mother was active in the local garden club, so I was as well. They all had a friendly competition, a ‘my garden is prettier than your garden’ thing,” Perry laughed. “And we planted trees in the community. For anyone who’s familiar with that part of Kansas, you know there would be no trees without garden clubs planting them.”
After operating a floral shop there for 10 years, Perry moved to Taos in 1988. Owning Enchanted Florist has been her passion since 1993, and which has been a family affair.
“Carly grew up in this business since junior high and knows it inside and out,” Perry said with pride. “She does all the weddings, is a fantastic designer, and really wonderful with customers. We share the responsibility of running the shop and I would be totally lost without her.”
Robert is a talented and creative builder who designed the shop from the bottom up and is also “our favorite delivery person … delivering smiles throughout Taos County.”
Polly, Harvest and Katie round out the friendly and professional staff greeting you at the shop. “Each brings their own talents and enthusiasm to their work,” which ensures that every client receives the utmost in personal attention.
Whether you need a floral gift for any occasion, or just want to brighten your own home, Enchanted Florist – Taos’ leading independently owned and operated florist – is your place to go.
