State police seek assistance locating Taos runaway

Update, 10 p.m. Oct. 21: Rickey Fresquez has been located by Taos Police and is safe, according to Taos Police Chief John Wentz.

New Mexico State Police are asking for the public's help in finding Rickey Fresquez, 13, of Ranchos de Taos after he reportedly ran away from school this week.

Fresquez is the third person missing from the area in less than 48 hours. He was reported missing after he allegedly ran away from the Taos Integrated School of the Arts (123 Manzanares Street) on Oct. 20.

Fresquez is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 125 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, black pants, black Nike tennis shoes, and carrying a red backpack with black straps.

Anyone with information on Fresquez's whereabouts can contact New Mexico State Police in Taos at (505) 753-2271 or dial 911.
