Nearly 100 kids of all ages showed up for the 12th annual Taos Youth Flight Rally last Saturday (Sept. 10) at the Taos Regional Airport, where they were met by enthusiastic pilots donating time and money to fly kids around Taos to teach them all about aviation.

“I’m only 9 years old and I got to fly a plane,” exclaimed Edward Trevino, whose dad brought him to the event. “It was pretty exciting, and I'm definitely gonna do it again,” he added, noting that it was scary “for a second,” but then became fun. “Today, I decided that I was going to be a pilot,” he declared.
