The Taos Regional Airport is set to get a new terminal after a vote by the Airport Advisory Board to approve a plan presented by Albuquerque based Armstrong Consultants.

The new plan will bring a new, one-story, roughly 8,000 square foot terminal to the airport — complete with a cafe and conference space.

Having received a block grant designed for community development, am I right in thinking that the Taos community will benefit from taxes on the business, enough to recoup the expenditure?

Interesting how they are able to procure $5.4 million dollars for an unnecessary airport terminal designed to serve wealthy tourists coming to ski, while the workers at TSV have no place to live because the town allotted a whopping $75,000 for affordable housing. Epic fail…!
