Town of Taos

This week, the town of Taos schedules their next municipal elections, Angel Fire and Questa discuss local road funds and Red River holds four committee meetings.

Town of Taos:

  • Town of Taos Council Regular Meeting: Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 4 p.m.
  • Discussion and possible approval of a resolution increasing part of the General Fund and part of the Taos Regional Landfill Fund.
  • Discussion and possible approval of a resolution declaring March 1, 2022 as the official day for Taos Municipal Officer elections.
  • Discussion and possible approval of an amendment to a contract with Advanced Navigation and Positioning Corp to increase funding by $52,837.
  • Discussion and possible approval of an ordinance amending the zoning regulations to allow for a 17-lot mobile home park on Camino de la Merced.
  • Ratification of Jamie Gerkin to the Historic Preservation Commission.
  • Ratification of Councilmember Fernandez as the town's representative on the Northern New Mexico Citizen’s Advisory Board.

Angel Fire:

  • Angel Fire Village Village Council Meeting: Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 5:30 p.m.
  • Discussion and possible approval of a resolution to participate in the Local Government Road Fund Program.
  • Discussion and possible approval of a resolution approving budget adjustments.
  • Discussion and possible approval of two conditional use permits.
  • Meeting to be held in person at the Angel Fire Village Chambers.

Questa:

  • Questa Village Council Regular Meeting: Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 6 p.m.
  • Presentations on the Cabresto Road Roadway, the Molycorp Basketball Field, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
  • Discussion and possible approval of a resolution to participate in the transportation fund program issued by the NMDOT.
  • Meeting will be held in person at the Council Chambers.

Red River:

  • Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting: Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 9 a.m. (at the Red River Conference Center).
  • Public Safety Committee Meeting: Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. (at the High Street Fire Station).
  • Economic Development Committee & Lodger’s Tax Advisory Board Meeting: Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. (at the Red River Conference Center).
  • Public Works and Recycling Committee Meeting: Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 5 p.m. (at the High Street Fire Station).
