The following is a condensed list of events that occurred in the town of Taos from March 24 - 29, 2021
12:07 a.m. Obscene/Threatening Phone Call, Taos Valley Lodge - Caller said a woman in one of the rooms kept calling and harassing the workers at the front desk and was totally out of control.
8:03 a.m. Welfare Check, Albright Street - Caller said the bus driver called her and advised her that someone was sleeping in the bus stop in front of the courthouse. He was told to move.
9:27 a.m. Larceny, Randall Lumber - Caller said a man walked into the store and stole some power tool kits and took off running.
4:20 p.m. Shoplifting, Paseo del Pueblo Norte - Caller said two men were fighting and one was pinned down on the sidewalk. One then took off running toward Kachina Lodge and was quickly detained. The other was taken to Holy Cross.
11:27 p.m. Animal Stray, Carson Trailer Park - Caller said he was chased from his trailer by two aggressive dogs.
3:15 a.m. Stalking, Quality Inn - Caller said a homeless man walked in and didn't want to leave because he was being chased by people in four different vehicles. He was given a ride back to his camp. He called a second time and was taken to Holy Cross.
8:05 a.m. Larceny, Paseo del Pueblo Sur - Caller said a food pantry was stolen.
10:35 a.m. Disturbing the Peace, Taos Plaza - Caller said a man was screaming profanities and acting crazy. Officers were unable to locate anyone.
3:28 p.m. Harassment, Paseo del Pueblo Norte - Caller said her downstairs neighbors were making electric weapons which connect to their computer and phones, and that she had been threatened by one of the neighbors telepathically.
1:47 p.m. Larceny, Walgreens - Caller said a man in a khaki jacket stole two bottles of alcohol.
3:47 p.m. Shoplifting, Albertsons - Caller said a man with tan pants and a black coat drank two bottles of alcohol in the store then walked out with one in his hand.
7:47 p.m. Information Report, Carson Trailer Park - Caller said she was raped a couple of weeks ago and knows the name of the man who did it and wanted to speak with an officer.
8:07 p.m. Domestic Disturbance, Taos Inn - A man and woman who were both intoxicated were fighting outside of the Taos Inn. They were separated by officers.
10:30 p.m. Disturbing the Peace, Martyrs Lane - Caller said they heard screaming for 10 minutes by the pet spa on Martyrs Lane. Officers did not find anything.
10:41 p.m. Stalking, Bond Drive - Caller said he was a 12-year-old male and a guy wearing a vest had followed him from his apartment. Officers patrolled the area but did not make contact with anyone.
5:59 a.m. Suspicious Circumstances, The Gorge Bar and Grill - Caller said a man in a grey sweater and khaki pants was walking around and appeared to be under the influence.
5:17 p.m. Warrant, Allsup's Convenience Store - Officers attempted to execute a warrant when the individual took off on foot. Officers chased him to Friday Motors where he was apprehended.
10:22 p.m. Psychiatric Behavior - Caller said their son was being loud and aggressive and suffers from mental health issues. They believed he was possibly off his meds. Medical unit spoke to him and he was okay.
10:28 p.m. Warrant, Schreiber Family Medicine - Caller said a man in a white sweatshirt broke into the courtyard and they could see him on the security camera. He was quickly detained and found to be highly intoxicated. He resisted arrest, but was taken to the Adult Detention Center.
11:14 p.m. Domestic Disturbance, Ochenta Apartments - Caller said his wife was attacking him with a knife and threatening to hurt herself.
1:40 a.m. Disturbing the Peace, Kachina Lodge - Caller said there was a party with beer pong and loud music going since 7 p.m. Officers told them to quiet down.
7:14 a.m. Psychiatric Behavior, Smith's - Caller said a woman wearing a pink jacket was standing in the parking lot yelling and hitting herself. She was taken to Holy Cross.
7:38 a.m. Trespassing, Kit Carson Road - Caller said a homeless man was in the lobby of their gallery with a wine bottle in his hand and was refusing to leave. He eventually left the area.
3:50 p.m. Harassment, Unknown Address - Caller said a friend of hers was threatening to take her money and buy weapons with it, and that someone was attacking her through the internet and made her fall in the shower.
4:27 p.m. Suspicious Circumstances, Don Fernando Street - Caller said she was getting odd phone calls and voicemails from an unknown person that were just heavy breathing and laughing. She said she believed it to be her parents.
7:02 p.m. Suspicious Circumstances, Eco Park - Caller said two men in an SUV were trying to talk to girls and get them in the car to take them to dinner. Officers did not make contact with the vehicle.
10:08 p.m. Shots Fired, Kit Carson Road - Several callers said they heard three shots fired by the public parking on Kit Carson Road.
2:43 a.m. Breaking and Entering, Vista del Valle Road - Caller said a man had been banging on her door for five minutes, and continued to bang on her door and yell at her to open up until officers arrived and arrested him. He was taken to the Adult Detention Center.
9:36 a.m. Fraud-Forgery, Camino del Medio - Caller said someone had filed for unemployment in her name and she wanted to make a report.
12:22 p.m. Trespassing, Taos Urgent Care - Caller said a homeless person was sleeping in the courtyard. He was waiting for a COVID test.
3:15 p.m. Traffic Accident, State Road 518 - Multiple callers reported a traffic accident. One vehicle was smoking and a woman was not getting out of the car. She appeared to be disoriented.
3:44 p.m. Fraud-Forgery, Paseo del Pueblo Sur - Caller said they received a fraudulent prescription from Alaska by phone.
8:21 p.m. Battery, Gusdorf Road - Caller said his roommate physically assaulted him and hit him in the face.
