Because of recent surges in cases of the Omicron variant, Jayson Wylie, co-founder and CEO of Taos Mesa Brewing, has announced that the brewery's Taproom location at 201 Paseo Del Pueblo Sur will be closed until Jan. 7, at which point the popular bar and eatery will return to takeout-only service.

“Out of an abundance of caution given the current rapid spread of COVID, Taos Mesa Brewing has elected to close to dine in service. We are currently offering take out service only as we perform a wellness check on all our staff members. We appreciate your support and understanding during these difficult times,” said Wylie on a Facebook post.

Wylie added in a message that “we are using an abundance of caution to make sure staff is safe, taking time to reevaluate our COVID safe protocols, and take stock in the current situation.”

He stated their target date to reopen dine-in services is Jan. 14.

The Taos Mesa Brewing Mothership, located northwest of Taos on U.S. 64 West, is set to reopen this summer after a fire damaged the business in August 2020.
