Taos HIVE and Taos MainStreet collaborate on e-commerce

Taos MainStreet, The University of New Mexico-Taos, the UNM-Taos Hub of Internet Vocation and Education (Taos HIVE) and Taos High Tech have launched a Business Alive program.

The collaboration will help local businesses develop and increase e-commerce capacity. "Our goal is to help Taos businesses develop websites or enhance their current websites by adding shopping features so they can sell their goods and services online," said a statement from the group.

Business Alive will help Taos business owners in need of assistance in developing a website or improving their existing website. The program is free but business owners are asked to commit time to work with a web developer and attend four educational webinars.

Webinars will be focused on topics like website management, social media management, e-commerce best practices and digital marketing. Business Alive will help develop new tools for businesses and teach them how to use them.

If you know any business that may want to take advantage of this program, they should contact Charles Whitson by email at director@taosmainstreet.org or by phone at (575) 305-3905. Space is limited.
