Stray: 10 cats, 28 dogs

In house: 81 cats, 94 dogs

In foster: 50 cats, 5 dogs

During the public health restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, Stray Hearts is open for adoptions by appointment only from 11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. every day except Sunday. See the dogs and cats available for adoption online and call (575) 758-2981 to make an appointment. The shelter is always looking for good homes for dogs and cats and donations. Donate online at strayhearts.org or mail checks to Stray Hearts Animal Shelter, PO Box 622, Taos, NM 87571. Stray Hearts ReTails store and cat cafe, located at 1204 Paseo del Pueblo Norte in El Prado, is open 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday- Saturday. Masks required at both locations.
