The 7 a.m. Ash Wednesday service at San Francisco de Asís Church was Father Michael Garcia's first public mass at the church since before the COVID-19 pandemic. Parishioners were invited inside at limited capacity on a first-come, first-served basis Wednesday (Feb. 17) to mark the first day of Lent in the Catholic faith.
