Warrior women, ocean protectors, the queen of the wasteland and a dumpster-diving diva were some of many characters that graced the runway in the pedestrian walkway behind the Old County Courthouse over the weekend. A late summer tradition in Taos, the Glam Trash Fashion Show celebrated it’s sweet 16th show Saturday afternoon before hundreds of visitors and community members who had gathered to watch them shine. The nonprofit, recycled fashion show serves to highlight waste and consumption while providing an opportunity for all ages to showcase their artistry by creating outfits from discarded or found items.
