Lujan Grisham to testify before Congressional committee

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham speaks in mid-August during her weekly update on the COVID-19 crisis in New Mexico. On Thursday (Sept. 10) she will testify remotely before the U.S. House Financial Services Committee about the impact of the pandemic on New Mexico's economy. 

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham on Thursday (Sept. 10) will testify before the U.S. House Financial Services Committee on the impact of COVID-19 on the state's budget. She is among several governors who will testify remotely on the need for additional federal aid to states to help their economies affected by the pandemic and public health orders that closed many businesses. 
The hearing is at 10 a.m. MT/12 p.m. ET

The governor and other state officials will also give an update on the state's COVID-19 response and the public health order at 4 p.m. Thursday. It will be livestreamed on the governor's Facebook page
