The New Mexico Department of Health reported 838 new cases of COVID-19 in the state on Wednesday (Oct. 6), including two new cases in Taos County.
The total number of cases in Taos County currently stands at 2,256. No new deaths have been reported, leaving the total number of fatalities connected to the disease at 61.
Statewide, a total of 256,947 cases have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic, with 227,898 recoveries, according to NMDOH. A total of 336 individuals were hospitalized for COVID-19 as of Oct. 6. The current number of deaths across the state is 4,840.
