COVID-19 epidemic curve for Taos County (copy) (copy)

After announcing Thursday (Nov. 18) that two elderly men from Taos County had recently died of COVID-19, the New Mexico Department of Health announced a third recent death on Friday (Nov. 19) of a woman in her 60s.

The announcement brings total death tied to the disease in Taos County to 69.

The state announced a total of 25 recent deaths and 1,844 new cases in New Mexico on Friday, bringing those totals to 5,263 and 301,937, respectively. A total of 256,770 people have recovered from the disease. Taos County recorded 25 new cases, bringing its total to 2,741.

As of Friday, 548 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in the state.
