Coronavirus COVID-19 under the microscope.

The New Mexico Department of Health announced 914 new COVID-19 cases in the state on Friday (Sept. 3), for a total of 235,390 cases to date. The state also announced 15 more deaths related to the disease, bringing total number of deaths to 4,544.

A total of eight new positive cases were recorded for Taos County on Friday, raising the total number in the area to 2,041. No new deaths were announced for the county, leaving the local death toll at 56.

A total of 396 people with COVID-19 were hospitalized on Thursday.

To date, a total of 203,156 people in the state have had COVID-19 and have been designated as having recovered by NMDOH.
