COVID-19 update Sept. 7

The New Mexico Department of Health reported 2,510 new cases of COVID-19 in the state on Tuesday (Sept. 7), including 45 new cases in Taos County over the last four days.

The total number of cases in Taos County currently stands at 2,086. No new deaths were reported for the area, leaving the total fatalities connected to the disease at 56.

Statewide, a total of 237,889 cases have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic, with 205,886 recoveries, according to NMDOH. A total of 388 individuals were hospitalized for COVID-19 as of Sept. 7
