The New Mexico Department of Health announced 2,932 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday (Jan. 11), including 29 new cases in Taos County.

The state also reported 25 additional deaths on Tuesday (16 recent deaths and nine additional deaths added from within the past 30 days), bringing the total since the start of the pandemic in New Mexico to 6,045. No new deaths were reported for Taos County, leaving the total county-wide deaths at 75. The most recent person to die from COVID-19 was a female in her 70's who was hospitalized.
