The New Mexico Department of Health reported 1,055 new cases of COVID-19 in the state on Friday (Oct. 29), including 10 new cases in Taos County. The total number of cases in the county currently stands at 2,441.

Ten additional deaths connected to COVID-19 were reported for the state on Thursday, with no new deaths reported in Taos County, leaving the total at 65. There have been a total of 5,039 deaths in New Mexico.

Statewide, a total of 275,202 cases have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic, with 242,280 recoveries, according to NMDOH. A total of 397 individuals were hospitalized for COVID-19 as of Oct. 29.
