June 28
8:40 a.m. Harassment, Holy Cross Hospital – A woman who was driving elderly people from the retirement village to the hospital reported that when she was parking, a man yelled at her and kicked the door of her vehicle.
8:47 a.m. Burglary, automobile, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A Toyota 4Runner was burglarized.
9:29 a.m. Larceny, Paseo del Pueblo Norte – Vicodin was reportedly stolen from Kachina Lodge.
10:46 a.m. Suspicious circumstance, Kit Carson Park – A man near the ball fields was seen hitting his head against the car.
10:54 a.m. Animal abuse, Holy Cross Hospital – A dog was left inside a white Chevrolet truck. It was crying and seemed to be in distress.
12:09 p.m. Property found, Upper Ranchitos Road – A man reported that gumball machines were thrown onto his property.
12:54 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A man was pushing carts around, kicking trash cans and staring at customers of Smith’s grocery store.
2:33 p.m. Fraud-forgery, Camino de la Placita – A woman lost her credit card and someone had reportedly used it at KFC.
3:36 p.m. Disorderly conduct, Saint Francis Drive – Someone on the “Do-Not-Adopt List” was being disorderly and refusing to leave Stray Hearts Animal Shelter.
4:14 p.m. Medical unknown, Cruz Alta Road – A woman in her 80s was found disoriented inside of a car with its windows rolled up.
6:33 p.m. Battery, Lower Ranchitos Road – A man working for someone to clean a yard reported that a tenant came out and threatened to shoot the man and “hit his vehicle with a large piece of wood.”
6:34 p.m. Harassment, Ortiz Street – Someone put up signs in a neighbor’s yard complaining about their dog.
June 29
9:32 a.m. Harassment, Dolan Street – A neighbor threatened to shoot someone’s dog.
10:36 a.m. Harassment, Camino de la Placita – A stalking incident was reported.
6:16 p.m. Breaking and entering, Paseo del Pueblo Norte – A break-in was reported at Kachina Lodge.
6:27 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Juan Largo Lane – A man, part of a larger group, reportedly possessed a 3-foot sword with spikes. He was apparently sharpening his sword and was advised to do it elsewhere.
7:14 p.m. Missing juvenile, La Posta Road – A youth left her parent’s house without permission.
June 30
12:18 a.m. Suicide subject, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A youth was reportedly contemplating suicide.
8:39 a.m. Burglary, automobile, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A BMW was broken into and a backpack that contained a tablet, passport, Social Security cards and birth certificates was stolen.
2:16 p.m. Unattended death, Camino de la Serna – A man was found on his back not breathing.
3:20 p.m. Disturbing the peace, Bent Street – A man was seen rummaging through garbage.
3:38 p.m. Burglary, automobile, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A Honda Civic was broken into and the stereo and a Social Security card were taken.
4:11 p.m. Welfare check, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A man wearing plaid and carrying a cane was trying to flag people down.
4:42 p.m. Criminal damage, Rivera Funeral Home – Vandalism to a vehicle was reported.
4:53 p.m. Criminal damage, Dollar Tree – Someone broke into a green Saturn and stole the faceplate to the stereo and ransacked the glove compartment.
6:36 p.m. Larceny, Cruz Alta Road – Someone stole the radio out of a 1988 Volvo.
7:11 p.m. Shots fired, Salazar Road – Gunshots were reportedly fired.
July 1
12:09 p.m. Unattended death, Vegas de Taos – An 89-year-old man reportedly passed away.
2:20 p.m. Shoplifting, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A mother and her 10-year-old son reportedly stole a pair of shoes.
6:23 p.m. Welfare check, Dea Lane – A man was hugging a stop sign and seemed disoriented.
9:05 p.m. Disturbing the peace, McDonald’s – Three or four men behind the drive-thru were reportedly yelling at each other and fighting.
9:57 p.m. Criminal damage, Old Talpa Cañón Road – After leaving Storyteller Cinema, someone reported that their vehicle was broken into and a dog was taken from inside.
11:01 p.m. Disturbing the peace, Calle Crystal – A party was going on with suspected underage drinking.
July 2
2:06 p.m. Property lost, Paseo del Pueblo Norte – A phone belonging to Taos Pizza Out Back was found in the field behind the business. The caller wanted police assistance in retrieving the phone.
3:14 p.m. Animal stray, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – Some dogs were reportedly loose inside Albertsons.
5:49 p.m. Property lost, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A Walmart employee lost her badge and thought it might have fallen into a customer’s bag.
8:45 p.m. Reckless driving, Salazar Road – A few vehicles were reportedly racing.
8:45 p.m. Sex offense, juvenile, Taos County Housing Authority – The sexual assault of a youth was reported.
July 3
12:07 a.m. Warrant, Cavalry Road – A woman reported that her husband struck her and broke her phone.
1:52 a.m. Assault, Amador Lane – A man suffered a leg injury in a fight.
8:39 a.m. Larceny, Las Trampas Road – A youth’s wallet was emptied at her sports practice at Kit Carson Park.
8:46 a.m. Burglary, residential, Maestas Road – A man and woman reportedly broke into a house.
9:50 a.m. Battery, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – There was a fight at Walmart in the electronics section.
11:04 a.m. Larceny, Kit Carson Road – A man’s bike was stolen at El Monte Sagrado and he discovered it listed on Craigslist.
12:10 p.m. Suicide subject, Paseo del Pueblo Norte – A woman reportedly said she wanted to jump off a bridge.
2:22 p.m. Property lost, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – Someone reportedly left a ring in the bathroom of Ace Hardware and when he returned, it was gone.
3:41 p.m. Larceny, Camino Cortez – Someone reported that an anvil was stolen from his yard.
5:12 p.m. Information report, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A wallet was taken from someone’s glove compartment in their car, which was parked and left unlocked at Smith’s.
7:02 p.m. Battery, Kit Carson Park – Two men were reportedly fighting with knives at Kit Carson Park.
