The following is a condensed version of Taos County police reports from Dec. 20-25.

Dec. 20

1:37 a.m. Disorderly conduct, Holy Cross Hospital – A man was acting up in the waiting room. The caller requested an officer.

6:49 a.m. Animal stray, Magdalena Lane – The caller said there was a wolf hybrid that had been running loose in the area.

8:05 a.m. Narcotics offense juvenile, Taos Municipal School – Three students had been caught smoking marijuana on the bus. They were going to be in the principal’s office.

11:27 a.m. Paseo del Pueblo Norte, Michael McCormick Gallery – There was a little campsite set up in front of the gallery. The caller said the campers had been stealing kerosene lamps and leaving stuff behind.

1:05 p.m. Disorderly conduct, Walmart – There was a male exposing himself on the north side of the store.

5:20 p.m. Criminal damage, Des Georges Lane – The caller said that someone threw cat pee in his car.

6:55 p.m. Information report, Chamisa Road – The caller said that his vehicle was on fire, but that he had left the vehicle safely.

Dec. 21

7:13 a.m. Animal stray, Holy Cross Hospital – There were two pit bulls and a German Shepherd mix trying to get into the hospital. The animals did not have tags.

11:26 a.m. Traffic accident, injury, Kachina Lodge – The caller said they were riding a bicycle and were hit by a white older-model pickup truck.

12:51 p.m. Battery, Cid’s – Two people were fighting in the parking lot.

4:24 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Camino de la Merced – A man wearing an orange hoodie was seen walking with a TV.

6:57 p.m. Welfare check, Taos Inn – The caller had been heard screaming from the back of the property for half an hour.

7:28 p.m. Information report, Walmart – The caller said that a man was jumping on her car hood as she was trying to pull away.

7:40 p.m. Domestic disturbance, Spin and Sparkle Laundromat – The caller said she was getting beat up by a man in a truck and then hung up the phone.

7:53 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Taos Post Office, 318 Paseo del Pueblo Norte – A man was attempting to break into mailboxes.

10:08 p.m. Domestic disturbance, Walmart – The caller wanted to report a domestic incident between a man and a woman riding in a white Ford truck.

10:28 p.m. Theft of motor vehicle, Albertsons – The caller said that her green Chevy Colorado had been stolen.

Dec. 22

3:29 a.m. Criminal damage, Quality Inn – A man and a woman broke down a door. The caller said the man appeared to be very angry.

4:48 a.m. Theft of motor vehicle, Quality Inn – A man and a woman were in a room beating each other up, the caller said. They were moving back and forth between their room and the parking lot.

10:51 a.m. Assault, Morada Lane – Two vehicles went into a driveway, did a couple donuts and then drove off.

2:33 p.m. Animal wild, State Road 75 – The caller said that there were two horses licking salt off the roadway.

2:41 p.m. Welfare check, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – The caller said he could hear people fighting and saw some of them carrying bats.

4:42 p.m. Welfare check, John Dunn Shops – A man had locked himself in the public bathroom and was yelling off and on.

8:59 p.m. Traffic accident, no injury, Highway 285 – The caller said he ran into an elk with a vehicle. The caller reportedly was not injured, but said that the elk appeared to be badly injured.

11:02 p.m. Traffic accident, no injury, Hunan Chinese Restaurant – The caller said that a silver Cadillac crashed in the northbound lane. They said that the driver, a woman, had been drinking at a local bar.

11:19 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Allsup’s, 1050 Paseo del Pueblo Sur – The caller saw a driver in a white vehicle throw a miniature liquor bottle out the window.

Dec. 23

11:26 a.m. Larceny, Walmart – The caller said that someone had stolen her hub caps from her black Chrysler 300. She had noticed them missing that morning.

12:43 p.m. Harassment, Cid’s – The caller said that her neighbor was harassing her.

2:03 p.m. Welfare check, 1139 Paseo del Pueblo Sur – The caller said that a woman wearing a black jacket looked to be in distress and then collapsed on the sidewalk.

5:57 p.m. Disorderly conduct, Taos Men’s Shelter – A man was starting to fight with some other individuals outside the shelter.

6:37 p.m. Medical unknown, Taos Inn – The caller said that a man in the lobby was passed out. He was breathing but unresponsive.

8:32 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Water Tank Road – The caller said there was a suspicious vehicle by the water tank with its lights on.

Dec. 24

1:56 p.m. Welfare check, Centinel Bank, south – The caller wanted to report an older man who was trying to hitchhike and appeared to be disoriented and confused.

7:26 p.m. Shots fired, Guadalajara Grill, north – The caller reported hearing gunshots coming from somewhere south of his place.

7:49 p.m. Welfare check, Walgreens – A man was passed out in front of Walgreens.

8:17 p.m. Welfare check, Chalupp’s Pizza – A man was spotted dancing in the middle of the roadway.

8:50 p.m. Welfare check, Cervantes Drive – A woman had fallen the night before and hit her head.

Dec. 25

2:16 a.m. Theft of motor vehicle, Allsup’s, south – The caller said that her son had been driving her silver 2014 Dodge Avenger and called her to report that the vehicle had been stolen from Allsup’s.

7:10 a.m. Trespassing, Allsup’s, south – There were people outside the store practicing karate and not letting people go inside.

10:59 p.m. Burglary residential, Trujillo Lane – The caller said that his home had been broken into. The back window was broken, the front door was open and several Christmas presents were missing, including seven tool kits, two computers and jewelry.
