The following is a condensed version of Taos Police Department reports from Dec. 13-19.
11:06 a.m. Stray animal, Doña Ana Drive – Caller said a dog kept hanging out and wanted someone to pick it up.
6:26 p.m. Criminal damage, Cid’s – A suspicious-looking male was damaging items in the store and walked out into the parking lot. The man was wearing a long blue cape, gold dress and a monkey hat.
9:31 a.m. Criminal damage, Mitchell Storyteller 7 – Caller said someone had damaged a tree and that someone had the incident on video.
1:03 p.m. Stray animal, Weimer Road – Caller advised there was a pit bull mix running in and out of traffic. The caller was afraid the animal would be hit by a vehicle or cause an accident.
5:51 a.m. Traffic accident, Zia Street – Caller said there was a wrecked car in a ditch at the end of a dead-end road.
7:28 p.m. Welfare check, Taos Plaza – Caller said there was a man with blood on his clothes walking from the Plaza to the Taos Inn eating a dead rabbit.
4:08 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, First Baptist Church – Caller said a man with a dog was pouring some kind of liquid at the church and did have a milk carton with him.
1:40 p.m. Breaking and entering, Upper Ranchitos Road – Caller said someone had been breaking into their vacation rental house. Caller thought the suspect was someone who had a key to the residence.
1:11 a.m. Shots fired, Sun God Lodge – Caller was in the room with their children and said they heard four gunshots and saw a man standing across the porch.
2:30 p.m. Larceny, Cid’s – Caller said someone had stolen their narcotics.
10:31 a.m. Public indecency, Parr Field – Caller said a man was urinating in front of the field and then headed toward Civic Plaza Drive.
12:59 p.m. Shoplifting, Albertsons – A man was walking in and out of the building stealing bottles of liquor.
