The following is a condensed version of Taos Police Department reports from Nov. 15-20.
Nov. 15
11:53 a.m. Narcotics offense juvenile, Taos High School - An officer was requesting a case number for narcotics found at Taos High School.
12:20 p.m. Larceny, Kachina Lodge - The caller said they were from Loveland, Colo. and had stayed at the Kachina Lodge, where their credit was stolen. They said that someone had charged over $700 to the card.
12:45 p.m. Shoplifting, Herdner Road - A woman was caught shoplifting in the area.
1:13 p.m. Assault, Kachina Lodge - The caller said that a man driving a black Mitsubishi Montaro Sport pointed a 9mm at him.
3:26 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, North Trapper Road - The caller said that a man was going around the neighborhood asking people if they wanted to buy candy or wood. The man seemed to be ripping people off.
4:08 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, North Trapper Road - The caller said that a man came to his door wanting to sell him wood. The caller bought $35 dollars-worth, but the man never returned with the delivery of wood.
4:24 p.m. Welfare check, Herdner Street - A man was sitting near the road and appeared to be bleeding from his nose.
7 p.m. Welfare check, Albertsons - A man was laying in the roadway with his head on the curb.
10:08 p.m. Medical unknown, Chevron, 823 Paseo del Pueblo Sur - The caller said that he had gotten into a knife fight at the Dollar Tree.
Nov. 16
8:51 a.m. Criminal damage, Ranchitos Road - The caller said that a whole bucket of oil was on their porch.
9:94 a.m. Criminal damage, Vista Grande High School - A report was made about students vandalizing the school. The school said they would handle it internally.
11:47 a.m. Law, unknown problem, La Lomita Trailer Park - The caller said that there was a travel trailer at the trailer park with 46 parakeet birds in it. They said that the owners are breeding and selling the birds.
5:17 p.m. Disturbing the peace, Montoya Street - The caller said that her neighbors were playing music and that the bass was too loud.
Nov. 17
1:41 a.m. Breaking and entering, Upper Ranchitos Road - The caller reported they saw 10 people breaking into a residence.
9:39 a.m. Animal wild, Apache Street - The caller said there were some chickens in the roadway and was worried they were going to be run over.
9:56 a.m. Animal stray, Reed Street - A dog was tied up at one of the trailers and seemed to have been there for a few days without food or water.
12:41 p.m. Welfare check, Guadalajara Grill - An intoxicated man was throwing barrels from a construction site into the roadway.
2:08 p.m. Harassment, Greystone Furniture - The caller said that several intoxicated individuals had taken shelter from the rain on the back porch and were screaming obscenities.
2:23 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Sonic Drive-In - A man that appeared to be under the influence kept demanding a refund for food he never ordered.
3:11 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Albertsons - The caller said that a man in a brown hoodie and jean shorts was walking around trying to open cars.
3:15 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Taos Community Auditorium - The caller said there was a white SUV and a dark blue SUV parked behind the TCA. They suspected a drug deal.
3:40 p.m. Welfare check, Dea Lane - The caller said there was a couple having sex in a vehicle, other people arguing and a "tall woman who dropped her teeth." The caller advised they would get a shotgun and "wait."
8:15 p.m. Welfare check, Cruz Alta Road - A homeless man was trying to set up a camp in the portal of a building.
Nov. 18
8:19 a.m. Alarm commercial, Friday Motors - A tall man with a dog grabbed a female employee and took off toward Kachina Lodge.
9:07 a.m. Domestic disturbance, La Luz Drive - The caller said that someone was hitting her son with a rolling pin. She got in between them and the assailant started hitting her, too, before taking off in an unknown direction.
2:26 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Smith's - The caller said a child was riding a bike and kicked their vehicle, causing a dent. The child then took off down Siler Road.
3:31 p.m. Breaking and entering, Ranchitos Road - Someone attempted to break into a residence in the area. The caller reported that the window screen appeared to have been tampered with.
5:34 p.m. Disturbing the peace, El Pueblo Lodge - There was a homeless man behind the establishment yellling and making a lot of noise.
5:44 p.m. Citizen assist, incident address unknown - The caller advised that he and his wife were stranded in Taos. They had heard that police sometimes assist people in locating hotels and motels.
8:10 p.m. Disorderly conduct, Holy Cross Hospital - A man was getting physical with the nurses.
Nov. 19
7:35 a.m. Harassment, Taos Men's Shelter - A man at the men's shelter was making threats.
12:41 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Paseo del Cañon West - A white vehicle was seen driving recklessly. The caller said it pulled had pulled into a residence in the area.
9:14 p.m. Domestic disturbance, La Morada Road - The caller said that a woman had just been involved in an domestic dispute. They said that a man had dragged her by her hair.
Nov. 20
10:08 a.m. Larceny, Paseo del Pueblo Sur - The caller said that a $3,000 stove was stolen.
3:27 p.m. Shoplifting, Albertsons - A female shoplifter had been detained.
10:04 p.m. Fall, Liebert Street - The caller said she fell off her scooter and believed she broke her leg.
