I was getting excited the other day thinking about covering the Taos "Blizzard," the Pecos professional baseball League's newest team, this summer.

(Here's that story, if you missed it.)

Santa Fe added an expansion team last year, the Fuego, so for some background information I went over to our sister paper's website, the Santa Fe New Mexican, to learn more about Taos' natural rival, the league, and the community response.

After reading a few stories, it dawned how cool it really is that the Blizzard are coming here. The Fuego not only provided entertainment by producing "video game" type numbers, the team helped make the community a tighter knit place.

Here's some links to the stories that tell the tale of what we can expect in Taos. (If, of course, the last couple hurdles don't get in the way; it's not quite a done deal yet...)
