In this Thursday's Tempo Magazine (March 15)

This week’s Tempo cover story helps get the 2012 Remarkable Women of Taos series of events rolling. It’s a look at the “Art of the Dress,” a special event that launches at the Millicent Rogers Museum this weekend. Stunning is the only way to describe it.

In addition, we have word that the Taos Solar Music Festival this summer will be including the likes of Lyle Lovett and Los Lobos added to a stellar line-up that already includes the Del McCoury Band and Michael Franti and Spearhead. Remember, you heard it here first.

With Spring Break continuing into this weekend, we have stories on Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk and the psychedlic Monotones in performance here, plus a gorgeous pair of classical music concerts by the always fabulous Taos Chamber Music Group.

Literary buffs will want to read our take on Robert Arellano’s new novel ‘Curse the Names” and art lovers will be interested in the retrospective of the late Melissa Zink’s career at two venues in Taos.

It’s all there, plus movie reviews and more inside Tempo, your arts and entertainment magazine inside The Taos News bright and early every Thursday morning.

Always remember, the Tempo calendar deadline is Friday noon for publication the following Thursday, with the exception of certain holidays. Plus, you can also enter your calendar items online at
