For the third year in a row, the National Newspaper Association selected The Taos News as the top large weekly at its annual conference.

The NNA announced the award at its conference held October 3-7 in Charleston, SC. This was the National Newspaper Associaiton's 127th Convention and Trade Show.

"Winning the highest honor in community journalism, three years in a row, is a reflection of the hard work and determination from everyone at The Taos News. From our street vendors, reporters and media advertising specialists to our editors, we are elated that our newspaper peers across the country acknowledged our achievements for 2012. This award recognizes the team effort needed to publish an outstanding newspaper, week in and week out," Taos News publisher Chris Baker said.  "I can't say how proud I am of our entire staff and its non-stop endeavor to publish the best weekly newspaper in the United States."
