Patricia Leedon suffered injuries to her head, chest and extremities when, according to law officials, she was struck while riding her bike by a 13-year-old driver.
The Taos County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident and reported that the driver and his 16- year-old sister were in the car when the boy accelerated through a curve and crossed the road, where the car hit Leedon and then rolled off the road. The two minors were not injured in the collision.
The case will be handled through the Taos Juvenile Probation Office because the brother and sister are under 18.
